I don't think I'm quite me at the moment...

Hello blogworld,

Back again so soon?  How nice to see you!

So what am I doing out of character?  Well to start with I'm cleaning!!  And lots of cleaning at that!  We've, probably, got visitors coming over on Sunday - one of the other mums' has been asking for advice about the cupcakes (fairy cakes to us oldies!) that I make.  The conversation ended up with me inviting her and her daughters (the eldest is in Emily's class) over to have a baking afternoon!

Now I've no idea what inside her house is like, but she seems a very organised, efficient sort of person and she lives in a new bungalow - not a ramshackle sort of place (or person!) like me.  I thought, therefore, got to get the old marigolds on and attack the dust and dirt.  I've been doing it for two days - got another three days ahead of me and I've had enough!!  I want to make a card - bohohooo!

Secondly reason I'm not me - this card.  No stamping anywhere, not a thing -  I've not made a stamp-less card for years!  Still, I like it - and what's more I could see it in lots of different colours. And, shhhhh say this quietly, I might even adapt it for the time at the end of the year that I'm not mentioning yet.

Here, what do you all think?
Front shot:

Arty farty:
I used:

No stamp!

Dies:
Nestie oval and scalloped oval
Memory Box - Prim Poppy

Anything else?
Embossing folder - Swiss Dots
Craftwork cards - sentiment
pearls, from my stuff

So opinions please?  On the card that is, not my cleaning - I know I'm bonkers about the cleaning (oh and pretty much everything else as well!!).

Sarah

What a lovely stampless card...You should submit it to the unstambelles. I think they allow a digi or CD sentiment.

I wouldn't worry about the house...fi she is wanting to come over, she want s to see you, have fun with you and have the girls play.

I am a tidy Nora but my very dear friend is the opposite...you have to walk very carefully at her house as you can't always see the floor!

I could care less when I am there as she makes a great cup of coffee and is very creative!!! We spend our time looking at things she bookmarked, or pinned on pinterest and chatting about future projects.

She gets tons more cards made than me and of that I am envious!

Gorgeous card Sarah. Dont get too bogged down with the cleaning. As long as you have space on the counter in the kitchen to make cupcakes who cares!.

Ooh this is very pretty! Very non sarah like but still very gorgeous.
Do you fancy coming to do some cleaning at mine then? I am struggling to get motivation to do anything at the mo, far too busy with kids things, birthdays and starting on christmas! Me thinks I am going to burn out soon :/
Have fun cleaning (those 2 words shouldnt be in the same sentence!!) and even more fun baking!

I saw this in my blog list hun and thought it was gorgeous! :)

Love the simplicity of it, and the delicate pink and dottyness :) I have made a few cards without a stamped image, its surprising what the right kind of die can do! ;)

I have a week of cleaning ahead of me next - we have family coming to stay, and as yet a spare room full of photography equipment, old tv's and junk! :D lol.

hugs

Lovely card Sarah.

My arthritis is too bad to do any cleaning at the moment so we just have to put up with things as they are. Have made two cards since coming home from work today.

My friend says she comes to see me not the house.

This is a gorgeous card Sarah. Did you know you are a Perfect Pinky? In fact we are both Perfect Pinkies! Your card is much more CAS than mine though, so I'm not sure my card deserved to win.
